Our Story

Sia Taylor creates jewellery with a poetic, painterly quality — capturing fleeting moments in delicate forms of precious metal, designed to be worn close to the skin. Quiet yet expressive, each piece carries the trace of its making: subtle compositions of light, movement and colour that unfold through wear.

Rooted in fine art rather than traditional jewellery design, Sia’s creative language emerged through an intuitive process of looking, drawing and making — shaped during her studies at the Royal College of Art. Her work is driven by a desire to distil atmosphere and feeling into elemental forms. Dreams, memories and fleeting moments from the natural world are transformed into a delicate language of gold.

From her Somerset studio, Sia’s practice unfolds slowly and organically. An unhurried process of observing, drawing, collecting and refining ideas precedes intense periods of technical development. Each collection begins as a feeling or fleeting visual moment, gradually translated into form through experimentation with scale, movement and light.

Working closely alongside her Head Goldsmith, Sia develops each design through an intuitive exchange of ideas and process. Together, they refine compositions of tiny precious elements, often discovering unexpected directions as the work evolves.

A second studio in Bristol is home to a small team of artisan jewellers, where every piece is meticulously handcrafted using traditional techniques. Minute leaves are hand-cut, tiny beads patiently drilled, and delicate forms carefully assembled — preserving the subtle irregularities and softness that give Sia’s jewellery its distinctive character.

Sia Taylor has always been drawn to the quiet beauty of precious metals — their natural warmth, softness and ability to hold light. Working primarily with gold and silver, her jewellery is shaped slowly by hand using traditional techniques, allowing each piece to retain a sense of intimacy and human touch.

With a focus on metal itself as a creative medium, colour plays an essential role within Sia’s artistic language. Initially combining yellow and white gold, she gradually developed a distinctive palette of precious metal tones that has become synonymous with her work — subtle compositions of colour used much like paint within a canvas.

Working closely with specialist refiners and metallurgists, Sia has continued to expand this palette through both existing and bespoke alloys. Using varying purities of 14 – 24 carat gold in yellow, white and rose tones, alongside platinum and the reintroduction of silver, the work now encompasses a broader and more nuanced spectrum of colour.

These precious metals are arranged instinctively within each composition — layered, balanced and refined until they capture the atmosphere or feeling behind an idea. Remaining true to a slow and intentional process, every elements still hand-cut and individually assembled in the studio, preserving the subtle irregularities of handcraft. The result is truly unique pieces with permanence, sensitivity and soul.
